Saturday, Jan 10th-Sunday Jan 11th: Nava Leadership Training Institute (NLTI) 2009!!!!
Who: The lovely ladies of Nava BBG #2500
What: Our annual fall convention (NLTI!). This year, it is planned by Melissa and Julie. We will have having fun programs in all 6 folds, having MIT inductions, bonding with our sisters, and electing the spring term 2009 exec board. Even if you cant come to NLTI, please come to elections because every voice counts and YOU have the chance to choose who serves YOU on chapter board.
Please note: the end time is approxomite because elections could be longer or shorter.
If you cannot stay overnight or come on Saturday at all, but you still wanna come to elections, you should arrive at Maddie's no later than 7:15am. Elections will start right at 7:30.
IF YOU ARE ARRIVING LATE OR LEAVING EARLY PLEASE LET ROSE KNOW.
When: 5:00pm on Jan 10 to 12:30 (ISH) on Jan 11th. Please let your parents know that the ending time is approxomite and that you might be done earlier or later than that.

EXTRA INFO: Bring with you: a sleeping bag, pajamas, anything you need for sleeping, platforms and a speech if you are running for board, food for potluck dinner, and anything else you want to bring. Friday night is a potluck dinner, please bring the following according to your grade:

Sophomores: Main Dishes (DAIRY ONLY PLEASE)

Who: Registered BBGs and AZAs of NRE for the convention!
What:AN AMAZING SPIRIT CONVENTION WHERE WE WILL HAVE A SPIRIT COMPETITION, HEAR MID STATES OF COUNCIL BOARD, DO COMMUNITY SERVICE, HAVE SPECIAL ENTERTAINMENT, HAVE A DANCE, AND MUCH MUCH MORE! We will be giving you shirts to wear for the convention, but please bring a pair of jeans, leggings or black pants, a nice outfit for shabbat and mid-states, headphones if you have them, ANY SPIRIT WEAR LIKE BEADS OR ANYTHING, speakers if you have them, warm clothes for being outside, and anything else you want to bring. Gabi Fiszbein made a paper on everything you will need to bring for all of our spirits, it is attached to this email so you can check it out to make sure you have everything!
When:WE WILL BE LEAVING FROM FEDERAL PLAZA (by Panera) ON 12/25 AT 1:30pm. The buses will depart at 2. We will arrive back between 1 and 2 pm on 12/28.

Monday, December 15, 2008: Chapter Meeting at the JCC

What: A chapter meeting. We will go over chapter business, talk about our amazing RC spirits, talk about chapter caucus, and here from our board. This is our first real meeting in a while, so come to get caught up!
When: 7-8:15ish PM
Where: JCC, Room 154 (our normal chapter room)
EXTRA INFO: The theme of this meeting is Winter. Dress up like you would for winter to earn spirit points! Also, there is a steering meeting for NLTI before this meeting. If you are on NLTI steering, you have received an email from Julie and Melissa with more details.
Saturday, December 20, 2008: KEEN Community Service Project!!
WHEN: Saturday, December 20, 11:15am-2:45pm
WHERE: St. Coletta School
WHO: SEVEN GIRLS WHO ARE 15 OR OLDER
WHAT: We will be volunteering with an organization called KEEN [Kids Enjoy Exercise Now]. This program is very similar to the Friendship Circle program, in the sense that we will be playing sports and doing other activities with young athletes with special needs. If you were interested in volunteering for the Friendship Circle but the timing just wasn't right, this is the prefect program for you! Talk to Lindsey if you are interested in attending.
**We do realize that this program is farther away than the others, however once we finalize the list of the girls who are going we will have carpool information available.
Saturday, December 20, 2008: RC PREP PROGRAM!!!!! :)

What:AN RC PREP PROGRAM! We will prepare for our domination at RC 2008. We will finish making shirts, learn cheers, talk about our spirits, and have a very very fun time!

Monday, December 8, 2008: Council Meeting
Who: DC Council BBYO
What: A council meeting. Basically all the girls will be in a room for a meeting run by the council board. We will learn about RC and upcoming council events! You will also see your council friends. Come support Laura E as council Sh'licha!!
When: 7-815ish PM. Monday night chill (basically a fun hang out with fooood) goes until 9.

Saturday, December 13, 2008: Nava's Gameshow Night!!
Who: Nava BBG #2500
What: We will be playing really fun gameshows live in person! It's going to be a lot of fun and it is planned by Moriah and Melanie, so it's going to be amazing.
When: 5-7pm. We may be going to help with a Teen Connection Dance for 6-8th graders at the JCC at 7:30. This is tentative and more info will come tomorrow.

Monday, December 1, 2008: NLTI Elections
Who: All REGISTERED girls of Nava BBG #2500
What: We will be electing the coordinators for NLTI 2008. More details to come at elections, but this is SO important that everyone comes to give their say!!! The election process will be explained there, but please please please try to come.

Saturday, December 6, 2008: Program with Oseh Shalom BBYO and Achshav BBG
Who: Nava BBG, Achshav BBG, and Oseh Shalom BBYO (a co-ed chapter in DC Council!)
What: A really cool program :)
When: 7-9pm

RC Registration is now open! RC stands for Regional Convention and is a 4 day spirit competition convention filled with cheering, spirit, Region bonding, mid-states of the council board (basically they evaluate each chapter), cool entertainment, and a dance! It's going to be AMAZING, and this is the best convention of the whole year! Nava goes ALL out for spirit, and we always have a really really good time!!!! You can register on b-linked. The cost is $325, but scholarships are available through the chapter and the council. I have attached a scholarship form for the region. You can fill this out, and email it to rsacks@bbyo.orgif you need some money from the region for RC. You MUST do this by December 3rd, or it will not be accepted. If you need additional assistance, let me know and the chapter can help you out. You can read more info about it on b-linked, but you should ALL consider coming to this great event! (and it's in Philly this year!!!). Regional Convention is $325 by December 3rd or $350 from December 4th-12th.

THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE TO SATURDAY'S PROGRAM (11/29). WE WILL NOW BE JOINING BRANDEIS FOR A HOMELESSNESS AWARENESS PROGRAM (it's gonna be really really cool) at Perry H's House. from 7-9pm. Calls will be coming out tomorrow as extra reminders!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008: Sweetheart/Heartthrob 2008!!
Who: DC Council BBYO
What: Following chapter pictures, there will be A REALLY fun semi-formal BBYO dance. Basically, we get all pretty and go to the dance where there will be food, friends, fun, dancing, a giveaway, etc. It's a lot of fun, and everyone always has a really good time. You need to register on b-linked in order to attend. The cost is $55, but if money is an issue let me know and the chapter can help you out. We will be meeting at Lily S's house for pictures, and rides will be provided to the dance.
When: Chapter Pictures from 5:45-6:45. Dance from 7-11pm
Where: Meet at Lily S's house at 5:45, we will then go to the dance which is at Bethesda Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Saturday, August 30, 2008: Goofy Olympics program
Who: Nava BBG and prospective MITs
What: A VERY fun challenge program. Your teams will compete in many different fun and silly activities. There will be judges seeing which team is the best at each activity, soo come to help your teams!!! This is a very fun program that you do not want to miss! It is planned by the amazing Emily S, and this is a GREAT program.

Extra Info: Feel free to bring MITs to this program and please try to attend!!!! Also, I will not be able to attend this program because I have a family wedding in Boston , but you ALL should go because it's going to be an AMAZING program!
Sunday, AUGUST 24TH: SCAVENGER HUNT KICKOFF PROGRAM!!! Who: The lovely ladies of Nava BBG and prospective MITs
What: Our kickoff program. This will be a great way to see your sisters after the summer, while having a good time. We will be going to the National Mall to have a scavenger hunt planned by Me and Amy. We will then take the metro back to Rockville for a pizza dinner. This is going to be SOO much fun and you do NOT want to miss it!
When: 8/24 from 1:45-7pm
Where: Meet at 1:45 at Rockville Metro, we will then go down to the National Mall together. Get picked up from the metro around 7pm.
Extra Info: Bring $$ for the metro and dinner. I suggest about $15.
